Text Links and Page Rank, According to Google

I found another great blog today following some links and recommendations. It’s written by Matt Cutts, who, based upon some of the references he makes, such as “we” when referring to Google, appears to be a Google employee.

In my opinion, this blog is a “must read” on a “as he posts” basis, which is where syndication is indispensable, for those that do any kind of search engine optimization. That means just about any webmaster that wants to get free search engine traffic.

A recent post, which is here:
http://www.mattcutts.com/blog/text-links-and-pagerank/
talks about what Google is trying to do, and why, with sites that buy and sell text links.

Very interesting indeed.

But what caught my eye also about this blog is that it is published using my personal blog software of choice, which is WordPress. A Google employee using WordPress instead of Google’s own Blogger? It’s almost like an eBay employee using StormPay instead of PayPal as the preferred payment method in an auction (I haven’t seen that, by the way, and probably won’t, just making a comparison).
