Sell subscriptions. While you are spending countless hours creating and sending your ezine for FREE, others are getting paid for their efforts. You can get paid for your efforts too! I know this sounds crazy at first, but please let me elaborate.

First, you need to take an honest look at your eZine. Do you offer your readers high quality content? Is the information that you provide, unique and not easily accessible elsewhere? Are your subscribers loyal to your publication? These questions are important in determining whether your eZine will be a success as a paid publication.

If you have a high quality eZine that provides unique information to a loyal subscriber base, you have a good chance of turning your FREE eZine into a paid subscription publication. But this is a big step.

If you take the leap and your FREE subscribers don't follow you, you have just alienated your entire subscriber base and killed your eZine. That's the bad news. Here's the good news.

Anyone who pays to subscribe to your ezine, is a good prospect for your other offers. They have shown that they are interested in your information, and are willing to make online purchases. Even if you lose 99% of your FREE subscribers, you now have a very lucrative subscriber base. You have to decide whether you want a handful of paying customers or boat loads of window shoppers.

But what if you are not comfortable with moving from FREE to paid subscriptions?

Then do both. Develop a paid subscription eZine that compliments your FREE eZine. Offer your subscribers a referral fee for each new subscriber that they refer to your paid eZine.
